IoT-powered greenhouse farming producing safe, nutritious, organic vegetables year-round — with a 75% gross margin sustained across four years of operation.
Elcornel Business Enterprise is a climate-smart agribusiness in Jos, Plateau State — integrating IoT technology, controlled-environment agriculture and organic soil management to produce safe, nutritious vegetables year-round for wholesale and HoReCa markets.
Founded in 2020 and operational since 2021, Elcornel has built a track record with a 75% gross margin sustained across four years, 47.9 Tonnes harvested, and 10 active commercial buyers who return season after season.
We grow using greenhouse systems that produce 6× the yield of conventional open-field farming, with zero chemical pesticide use, significantly reduced water consumption through drip irrigation, and IoT sensors that monitor soil health, humidity and water flow in real time.
This is not traditional farming. It is precision agriculture — and it is already working at commercial scale in Plateau State.
No chemical pesticides. Bio-inputs only. Traceable from seed to shelf.
Remote sensors monitor soil, water and microclimate in real time.
Solar irrigation reduces energy cost and climate dependence.
75% gross margin. Four years of consistent commercial revenue.
We integrate IoT sensors, remote monitoring and data-driven farm management to maximise yield, minimise waste and produce consistent quality regardless of season or climate conditions.
Sensors monitor soil moisture, pH, nutrient levels and humidity in real time — enabling precise interventions that reduce input waste by up to 40% compared to manual management.
Real-Time MonitoringSolar-powered drip irrigation delivers water directly to root zones, eliminating rainfall dependency and reducing water consumption significantly versus open-field equivalents.
Water EfficiencyOur greenhouse systems create a protected microclimate — controlling temperature, light and airflow to produce consistent, year-round yields unaffected by seasonal disruption.
Year-Round ProductionEvery farm activity is logged digitally — water use, fertiliser application, bio-pesticide use, harvest quantities and sales. Data informs every decision we make.
App-Based LoggingCompost-based soil improvement and certified bio-pesticides replace chemical inputs entirely. Our closed-loop system converts agricultural waste into soil nutrients.
Zero ChemicalsLivestock waste is converted to compost, agricultural residues feed livestock, and surplus compost is sold to neighbouring farmers. No waste leaves the system.
Circular EconomyWe supply organic, greenhouse-grown vegetables to wholesale distributors and Hotels, Restaurants and Cafes across Plateau State. Consistent quality. Reliable delivery. No chemical residue.

From our first seedling in Q1 2021 to our fifth harvest cycle in FY 2025, Elcornel has demonstrated that climate-smart, organic agriculture is not a trade-off between conscience and commercial performance. It is the same thing.
We have raised grants from Coca-Cola Foundation, MTN Foundation Womenpreneur Programme, BOI FG MSME Intervention Fund, Goshen Impact Fund, BeGreen Africa and Clean Tech Hub — institutional validation that our model is both investable and replicable.
"This programme saved my kids. I arrived with nothing and today I grow 840kg of tomatoes per cycle and earn over one million Naira annually."

Elcornel's commercial farm serves as the foundation and training ground for a broader social mission — giving displaced young girls and women the tools to build their own livelihoods.
Our model proves that serving the most excluded young girls and women in our community, and building a commercially viable business are not opposing choices.
We supply wholesale distributors and HoReCas (Hotels, Restaurants and Cafes) across Plateau State. We are also actively seeking investment partners to expand our greenhouse network and launch our agroforestry pilot. Reach out directly — we respond to every message.
